Lavuna is a sole trader business creating a dental confidence and preparation service. For anything about your information, or to ask us to remove your details, email us at info@lavuna.com.

Lavuna is the data controller for the information described in this notice.

Early-access email address. If you join the early-access list, we collect the email address you provide, the fact that you asked to be contacted, the date and time, which part of the site you signed up from, and, if you arrived through a campaign link, the campaign parameters in that link.

Anonymous research survey answers. If you take part in the research survey, we collect the answers you choose to give and any optional free text you write, along with the country you live in (optional), the date and time and, if you arrived through a campaign link, the campaign parameters in that link. No name, email address, phone number, date of birth or address is collected with these answers.

Research and testing contacts. At the end of the research survey you can optionally leave an email address to say you are open to taking part in Lavuna research, including testing early versions of Lavuna. This is collected only if you tick the consent box, and it holds just your email address, your consent, and the date and time.

We collect this information directly from you when you fill in a form on the site. We do not buy personal information from anyone else. Campaign parameters, when present, come from the link you clicked to reach us.

Early-access emails: we use these to let you know when the first version of Lavuna is ready to try, and to reply if you contact us. Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time.

Research and testing contacts: we use these only to contact you about taking part in Lavuna research, including testing early versions of Lavuna. Your email is stored separately from and never linked to your anonymous survey answers. It is not used for marketing, newsletters or early-access emails. Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you tick the box and submit. You can withdraw it at any time.

Research and other anonymous survey answers: these help us understand what makes returning to dental care difficult, so we can decide what to build. They are used together, as a whole, not read as individual profiles. Because they do not identify anyone, data protection law does not treat them as personal data; where any part of that processing does involve personal data, our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in researching and developing the service.

We do not sell your information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with dental practices.

If you have been invited to test an early version of Lavuna, you may be asked to fill in a short feedback form. The answers you give there are used only to improve Lavuna.

A tester code may be attached to your feedback so we know which invited tester replied. No email address is stored with the feedback, and it is kept separate from the anonymous research survey.

We use a small number of trusted providers who process data on our instructions only:

• Lovable, which hosts the website.
• Supabase, which provides the database where responses and email addresses are stored.
• Resend, which sends the early-access confirmation email.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK, including in the European Union or the United States. Where information leaves the UK, we rely on the providers' appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.

The anonymous survey answers and any email addresses are stored in separate places with no shared identifier, so an answer cannot be traced back to an email address or to you.

Responses and email addresses can only be added from the website, never read back from it, so the information cannot be browsed or downloaded by anyone using the site. Access to the stored data is limited to Lavuna through the secure provider tools.

Free-text answers are the one place personal details could appear, because you write them yourself. Please only include what you are comfortable sharing anonymously.

We keep anonymous survey answers for as long as they remain useful for developing Lavuna, and review them periodically.

We keep early-access and research interview email addresses until you ask us to remove them, or until they are no longer needed, whichever comes first.

You have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, to receive a copy of it, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because survey answers are anonymous, in practice these rights apply to email addresses you have given us.

To exercise any of these, email info@lavuna.com from the address you used, and we will remove or provide your information. No explanation is needed.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.

This site does not set advertising cookies and does not use advertising trackers. Our hosting provider may record standard technical information, such as the time of a request, for security and reliability.

We do not currently use a separate analytics tool. If we add one, we will update this notice first.
